QPS Neuropharmacology offers a broad selection of molecular biological methods for the analysis of various diseases. The unit supports in vitro and in vivo studies performed at QPS Neuropharmacology; routine sample analyses from external preclinical or clinical studies are additionally performed using the same techniques. Using the same analysis methods for preclinical as well as clinical samples increases the translational value of your research project.
Specifics of the readouts depend on the indication. Please see the respective in vitro and in vivo models for the most relevant readout of each model.
For example, our main readout for Alzheimer’s disease is the analyses of different Aβ species. We routinely analyze brain and CSF samples for Aβ 38/40/42 and tau/ptau levels from animal models as well as from humans.
As highly translational marker of neurodegeneration, neurofilament light chain measurement can be performed in body fluids (CSF, plasma, serum) of neurodegenerative disease animal models or cell culture supernatants.
Furthermore, customized assays can be set up and validated, cloning and transfection of cell lines can be performed.
